My artwork addresses the corrugated complexities of life in the Anthropocene, or the current period where human activities dominate the climate and environment. Combining 3D-modeled, toy-like cardboard sculptures and acrylic gouache paintings, I create eclectic habitats that highlight the relationships between self and environment—nature and technology.

My work seeks to reconcile the disparity between romanticizing living in untouched nature versus the constant hum of screens and advertising that boast the conveniences of modern life. Sustainability is a core theme of my practice as I explore less wasteful ways to create art through use of recycled art materials and a magnifying glass to the impacts of processes.

Utilizing elements of folk, pop, and psychedelic art through vivid color palettes and intricate patterns, I re-imagine the natural world, creatures, and environments that surround me. “Make it interesting; make it funny; make it weird” is the motto sung throughout my works.
